NACSE has been in the IT Education, Standards & Credentialing business for over 15 years. NACSE is both non-profit and vendor neutral. We believe that a vendor neutral foundation in IT training is an essential component in having valid credentials. In addition, we have embarked on an entirely new type of credential.
CREDENTIALS THAT RECOGNIZE AND REQUIRE,
HANDS ON, TIME IN INDUSTRY.
We have seen many changes over those years but none that will reshape IT credentialing to the extent that this program will. The primary foundation of these programs will be a recognition of those professionals who have both knowledge AND experience. (See our “IT Maturity Model” coming this month) for a better understanding and benefits of the “Experience Model”. Unlike some other industries, the IT industry (both hardware and software and related support services) are in a constant state of rapid change. Keeping current with those changes as well as addressing a world of older, legacy systems is a daunting challenge for everyone in IT. Certifications, the industries attempt at some standardization and measurement, has fallen well short of its intended objectives. Today, some discount many of these “Certifications” as meaningless …… Even then, try getting an IT job without at least, some kind of certification. Most of us in the industry know that we need more than just Academic Knowledge. We must make real world working experience, a foundational component of IT Standards. Keep checking on our site as we will be announcing these new credentials and the requirements necessary to earn them.
